Youngsters in Locks Heath performed their first nativity to a crowd of about 100 proud parents and grandparents.
The two to four-year-olds who attend Jigsaw preschool in Locks Heath told the traditional tale of birth of baby Jesus.
The 30 children sang and performed actions to a number of tunes.
While there were a few tears from nervous youngsters, others enjoyed the spotlight on stage in St Johns Church singing loudly for all the families to hear.
Pre-school supervisor Lisa Sturrock said: “They’ve been practicing really hard and they’ve enjoyed singing and reading about the nativity.
“The parents really enjoyed it to see the children on stage dressed up and to get the fans and granddads to see their grandchildren.
“This is a nice way to get everybody ready for Christmas and feel Christmassy.”
